Blutree Orthopedic Implants
Providing reliable reconstructive implants to Kigali's growing trauma, reconstructive, and surgical networks.
Over the last decade, Rwanda has emerged as a premier hub for healthcare advancement in the East African Community (EAC). Driven by key public-private sector partnerships and national strategies like the Vision 2050 framework, the medical sector in Kigali is rapidly standardizing. Hospitals such as the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali (CHUK), King Faisal Hospital, and the Rwanda Military Hospital are expanding their tertiary care, specifically in plastic, reconstructive, and oral-maxillofacial surgeries.
The rise in vehicular traffic and localized industrial accidents has led to a parallel rise in complex cranio-maxillofacial (CMF) trauma cases. Consequently, there is an urgent need for reliable, high-grade, biocompatible osteosynthesis products—plates, screws, and mesh systems—that can reduce operating room time and decrease post-surgical complications.
As a key supplier, we are positioning our product lines to address the key demands of the Rwandan medical landscape:
Through close coordination with local biomedical engineers and distributors, we aim to bridge the CMF supply gap with clinical-grade materials.
Empowering surgeons with cutting-edge micro-mechanics and biomaterials for craniofacial reconstruction.
Our maxillofacial plates are fabricated exclusively from medical grade Pure Titanium (Grade 3/4) and Titanium Alloy (Ti-6Al-4V ELI). These materials comply with ASTM F67 and ASTM F136 specifications, providing high tensile strength, resistance to fatigue, and absolute bio-inertness.
Using DICOM datasets from patient CT scans, our CAD/CAM software assists in designing Patient-Specific Implants (PSI). These titanium and PEEK cranial and orbital reconstructions are pre-bent and 3D printed to match patient-specific contours perfectly, cutting surgical time by up to 40%.
Our Variable Angle (VA) Locking technology allows screws to angulate up to 15 degrees from the central axis. This gives surgeons the flexibility to place locking screws in complex fracture lines or near tooth roots without compromising the biomechanical stability of the plate-screw construct.
| System Type | Indication & Application | Plate Thickness | Screw Diameters | Primary Material |

| Micro System (1.0 - 1.2mm) | Midface fractures, delicate pediatric CMF reconstruction | 0.6mm - 0.8mm | 1.0mm, 1.2mm | Pure Titanium Gr. 2/3 |
| Mini System (1.5 - 2.0mm) | Maxilla, zygomatic arch, orthognathic osteotomies | 0.8mm - 1.0mm | 1.5mm, 1.7mm, 2.0mm | Pure Titanium Gr. 3/4 |
| Mandible System (2.0 - 2.4mm) | Load-bearing segmental mandible fractures, trauma cases | 1.2mm - 2.0mm | 2.0mm, 2.3mm, 2.4mm | Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Alloy) |
| Cranial Mesh / Reconstruction | Craniofacial defect repairs, cranioplasty post-decompression | 0.4mm - 0.6mm | 1.5mm self-tapping | Commercially Pure Ti / PEEK |
Integrating Swiss CNC precision engineering with rigorous Class-100,000 cleanroom packaging processes.
Patient safety is paramount. Our modern facility employs comprehensive quality testing methods to ensure structural integrity and biological safety across all implant systems.
Verifies load limit integrity of thin micro-cranial and orbital plates under simulated localized forces.
Assesses dynamic cyclical fatigue behavior of load-bearing mandibular reconstruction plates.
Measures elastic limits and tensile breaks of raw titanium stock to verify compliance with global standards.
Navigating the regulatory framework of the Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority (Rwanda FDA) is key for a seamless import pathway. We provide complete regulatory documentation support, including:
*Our regulatory department works directly with your local importers in Kigali to streamline dossier submission and product registration processes.*
Through regional trade mechanisms under the East African Community (EAC), procurement agents in Rwanda can source products efficiently. We ship via air-freight direct to Kigali (KGL) or handle ocean freight transit through the ports of Dar es Salaam or Mombasa, followed by road transport through the Northern/Central corridors.
Our logistical systems ensure temperature-controlled and shock-absorbent packaging. Each titanium plate and screw is individually color-coded and clearly labeled with product codes, batch numbers, and expiry dates to support hospital inventory tracing.
High-precision plating systems built to support surgeons managing orthopedic trauma and cosmetic reconstructions.
